What You'll Learn To Do: Understand Near Eastern art and its ramifications on Western art.<\/span><\/h2>\r\nIn Module 2 we will examine Ancient Near Eastern art. We will look at how this art contributed to the larger development of Western art. It is imperative to understand Ancient Near Eastern art in order to see how it impacted later artistic developments.<\/span>\r\n

What You'll Learn To Do: Examine Ancient Egyptian art and its impact on art history.<\/span><\/h2>\r\nIn Module 2 we will examine Ancient Egyptian art. We will look at how this art contributed to the larger development of Western art. Throughout history various groups wanted to destroy Civilization, and return the ancient ways.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nRecent events in Syria, and Iraq are having a negative impact on the history of art.<\/span>\r\n\r\nIslamists have been erasing the history of art by destroying artifacts. In this module we will be looking back in history, and looking forward to a hopeful solution to these dire events.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nWe will study the beginning of civilization known as the Neolithic Revolution. The two key places where people started to advance beyond the way of life in the Paleolithic, was in Egypt, and Mesopotamia.<\/span>\r\n\r\nHere we see the first farming, and the first cities, along with the art that marks so many other beginnings.<\/span>\r\n\r\nWhat You'll Learn To Do: Understand Near Eastern art and its ramifications on Western art.<\/span><\/strong>\r\n\r\nIn Module 2 we will examine Ancient Near Eastern art.
