Motivation is clearly important for someone to perform well. However, motivation alone is not sufficient.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"im_margin_term\"><span class=\"im_glossterm\">Ability<\/span><\/span>\u2014having the skills and knowledge required to perform the job\u2014is also important and is sometimes the key determinant of effectiveness.
