Welcome to English 1301<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

This course provides an intensive study and practice of written communication\u00a0with an emphasis on the role of \u00a0writing processes.\u00a0 It includes an exploration of\u00a0 effective rhetorical choices, including audience, purpose, arrangement, and style as well as an introduction to various genres.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

When you have successfully completed this course, you be able to write college-level academic, organized\u00a0 essays\u00a0using Edited American English.\u00a0 The content of your writing will be grounded in your use of critical reading and thinking skills.\u00a0By the end of the semester you will\u00a0produce multiple written works\u00a0that fit the requirements expected throughout all academic disciplines.\u00a0 In order to get to this point, you will need to learn each component of college composition individually through a series of skill-building lessons. Since each component builds upon the previous one, it is extremely important for you to stay focused throughout the semester. <\/span><\/p>\r\n
