Materials
- Student tray containing the following:o 0.200 M CuSO4 (~ 15 mL per group) o 0.200 M FeCl3 (~ 2 mL per group)
o 0.200 M NiCl2 (~ 2 mL per group)
o Several Cuvetteso 4 10 mL pipettes
o 3 50 mL Erlenmeyer flasks. o 250 mL Beaker - In the red tray at each station.
o DIwaterbottle
o Supply beaker with disposable items: pipets, scoopula, small weigh boat, parafilm.
o Container of glassware soap and a brush in a beaker labeled “Waste.”

- Spectrophotometer Safety and Notes
- Always review MSDS (Safety Data Sheet) information for all chemicals you will be working with before coming to class.
- Inspect all equipment for damage. Broken or chipped glassware should be reported and placed into broken glass container.
- Label all glassware according to TCC policy.
- Chemicals may be disposed of in the “Chem 112 Waste” in the back hood.
- Return all trays with the properly numbered, cleaned, and dry glassware and items.
