• Student tray containing the following: o 1-600ml beaker

o 50 mL graduated cylinder
o Large test tube
o Stopper for test tube (with 2 holes drilled out) OR foil
o NaCl (~ 100 g per group)
o Unknown Covalent Compounds (Part B)
o Ionic Compound with van’t Hoff factor indicated by instructor (Part C). o Logger Pro
o Timer

• In the red tray at each station. o DI water bottle

o Supply beaker with disposable items: pipets, scoopula, small weigh boat, parafilm.

o Container of glassware soap and a brush in a beaker labeled “Waste.”  Student balance

Safety

 It is important to follow all TCC safety guidelines below while performing this lab.

1. Label all glassware properly.
2. Read the MSDS for all compounds prior to coming to lab.
