Resonance and formal charge is a topic that can be very confusing to those new to chemistry, but it’s crucial to understanding some of the most important molecules!
In this discussion board:
- Explain your current understanding of resonance. Don’t worry about looking back in the book, just write what you understand now. Try to explain it in a way that someone with no chemistry background could understand.
- Write one question you still have about resonance or formal charge.
- Now find a question from a peer to answer. Do your best to answer the question in your reply, but also point them to any resources where they might go to find more infomation.
