What you\u2019ll learn to do: explain\u00a0the importance of effective communications within an organization<\/h2>\r\n\"Black-and-white<\/a>\r\n\r\nWhen you were a child you may have played a game called \"telephone,\" in which\u00a0one person whispers a phrase into the ear of the person sitting next to her,\u00a0and she,\u00a0in turn, whispers\u00a0the message\u00a0to the next person, and so on, until the message travels around to the very last person, who\u00a0announces to everyone what she heard. After traveling through the \"telephone,\" what may have\u00a0started\u00a0as \"Joni likes going to the beach\" has become\u00a0\"Your knee likes groaning tuna\u2014eek!\" It's a fun game . . . but it also points out\u00a0a very real challenge that all\u00a0businesses\u00a0face: how to avoid the distortions of the telephone game and maintain effective communication within the organization.
