Before starting this module, please be sure to review the Course Syllabus first!
Welcome! If you are here, you have successfully logged into MyIvy to reach your classes on IvyLearn. You may notice that ALL of your classes are listed on IvyLearn, even face to face ones. For this class, everything you need will be posted on this class site. The syllabus (course outline) is posted under the Syllabus tab. These Module folders will be filled with your reading, activities and assignments. We will use Discussion Boards to post back and forth under the Discussions tab, weekly quizzes, and there will be two Projects. Without seeing you face to face in a classroom, you are required to READ everything on the website to get your class information.
Logging in every week and keeping up on assignments is the key to success in this course. No late work is accepted. There are set due dates for your assignments, so if you miss those, you miss points. You cannot ignore the class site all semester and then log in at the end to submit your work. It won’t be accepted. The printable course calendar is found under the Course Resource Tab, then click Course Calendar. Please click around and become familiar with our syllabus and our IvyLearn page. There will be a few questions on the first Quiz in regards to information contained within the syllabus.
In this session, you will familiarize yourself with IvyLearn, classmates, and key course topics. The Academic Wellness Inventory will help you assess your personal preparation in 9 areas needed for student success in college, this needs to be completed to do this weeks Discussion Board (DB).
You are not required to complete any assignments that are housed within the Lumen online text. Within the modules you will see a green circle with “chain-link” in the center. These are all part of your textbook. You can also find a full, pdf text, housed under “Course Resources”.
