In this session, we will continue to build on the one before. We each have unique interests, abilities, and strengths. In this session we will explore our career interests and what steps are needed to reach our goals. The Indiana Career Explorer Assessment will be our first step in reflecting on career interests, skills confidence and work values. This can be helpful tool to be sure you have chosen a career that suits your skills and interests and can also be helpful for those of you that are still undecided. Once you have completed these inventories you will search job postings in your desired career field -Hire Ivy, Career Builder, Monster, professional organizations websites and review what desired hard and soft skills are listed. The first project in the course, Project A, asks you to do a little digging in terms of job responsibilities, salary range, education requirements and more. Are you on the right path? Are you asking the right probing questions? How does the idea of life learning go beyond the classroom and into the real world? The career world?
