1. In the next session, we will continue discussing diversity.  When doing your reading pay special attention to the section on respecting cultural diversity.  Reflect on who we are an individual, our habits and patterns, how we interact with others we may or may not have commonalities with and awareness of stereotypes in our every day life. 

2. You will have an opportunity to study your listening skills in Project B.  You will be asked to talk to others and truly listen to their story and their opinions.  These may be fellow classmates, coworkers, friends, family and potentially even strangers.  Listening actively is a learned skill.  We can all become better with these steps – listen to understand, clear your mind and remain silent, as the person to clarify or expand if needed, and reflect the other person’s thoughts and feelings.
