M10 Overview: Diversity

This course is an opportunity for learning and growth with long lasting effects.    How often do you take the time to really think about why you do the things you do, act a certain way in one environment and differently in another, or how your past effects your present and future? We want to move away from dwelling on the negative things like “if I had only done that differently I wouldn’t be here right now.” But instead focus on the positive habits we have developed over time and how we can use those to build the life that we want.

This Module’s topic is Diversity .  We will reflect on who we are as an individual and then look to gather information about others like our classmates, coworkers, friends, acquaintances.  The more open we are in learning things the more growth can take place.  Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new by attending a community event or participating in an activity where you didn’t know many people.  It was most likely eye-opening if you truly put yourself out there and tried something new.  And you survived, maybe even enjoyed it!
