Discussion Board Directions

There are 8 discussion boards in this course.  Each one will be completed the same way.  You will post your initial response to the questions listed and then reply to the post of at least two (2) classmates. Please check your course calendar for when these posts are due. Initial posts (or Primary posts) and replies (secondary posts/responses) may have separate deadlines. Directions for posting in the Discussion Board 1 (DB1) are below.  If a Discussion Boards Initial Post, has multiple parts (Example Part #1 and Part #2) you are required to address each part.  You can also see the complete list of Discussion Boards under the Discussions tab.  

Click on the Discussion Board #1 forum link, choose create thread, type your response into the large text box and make sure to give the entry some kind of title. Click “submit” when finished. You should then see your post listed. Often times copying the questions and pasting them into the text box can be helpful in making sure not to miss anything, but this is not required.  Discussion boards provide a way for us to interact with each other and earn participation points in the class.  The more active and engaged you are in these activities the more you will take away from the experience.  Discussion Boards are worth 10 points total – 5 points for your Inital (Primary) post, and 2.5 points for each reply (Secondary Post), a minimum of 2 replies are required for full credit.
