M06 Overview: Time Management

In this session, you will find tools for managing your goals and your time.  As mentioned before we tend to be our own biggest obstacle.  In this instance, we see this over and over with procrastination. Dissect how you use your time, not just the tasks you do but how long you spend on them.  Do we let others dictate how we spend our time? Or do we take ownership?  This can be a very eye opening experience even if we feel we have a pretty good grasp on every minute of the day.  Evaluate how well you track your time already.  Do you use a calendar or set alarms on your phone?  Or do you depend on someone else to tell you where you need to be and when?  Or just hope someone drops a hint or reminds you of important dates?

“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.” –Harvey Mackay

The Project A asks you to do a little digging in terms of job responsibilities, salary range, education requirements and more.  Are you on the right path?  Are you asking the right probing questions? How does the idea of life learning go beyond the classroom and into the real world? The career world?  Are you informed about your intended plan of study?
