In 1977, Dr. Bill Hettler, Co-Founder and President of the Board of Directors of the National Well Institute, developed a <a href=\"http:\/\/students.umw.edu\/wellness\/wellness-resource-center\/6-dimensions-of-wellness\/\" target=\"_blank\">Six Dimensional Wellness <\/a>model which consisted of: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, and environmental.\u00a0The balance of the six dimensions are factors that contribute to good health.
