The Developmental Emporium\u00a0textbook contains twenty-three modules\u2014roughly one and a half modules per week for a sixteen-week semester. If you need to modify the pace and cover the material more quickly, the following modules work well together:<\/p>\n
\n- Module 1: Whole Numbers<\/strong> and\u00a0Module 3: Integers<\/strong> (moving the last section to Module 2: The Language of Algebra). If students have a strong grasp of operations on different values, these two modules could be paired up.<\/li>\n
- Module 10: Linear Equations<\/strong> and Module 11: Linear Inequalities<\/strong>. If students have a solid understanding of solving equations, these two modules could be paired up.<\/li>\n
- Module 20: Linear Functions and Function Notation<\/strong> and\u00a0Module 21: Quadratic, Polynomial, and Piecewise Functions<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Module 22: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions<\/strong> and Module 23: Exponential and Logarithmic Equations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
