What you’ll learn to do: Simplify and evaluate expressions that involve the multiplication and division of integers
Allan went on a trip with three of his friends to Las Vegas, but he lost his wallet on the flight there. Luckily, his friends were willing to pay his share of costs during the trip as long as he promised to pay them back later. Allan’s friend Sergio kept all the receipts and added everything up on the flight home, and he determined that Allan owed each friend [latex]$65[/latex]. How much was Allan’s total share of the costs? To figure this out, you’ll need to multiply integers. We’ll explore how to multiply and divide integers, as well as how to simplify and evaluate variable expressions with integers, in this section.
