In this module you’ve learned a process for taking on any writing task for college. First, asking questions about the topic to help narrow the focus of your writing and find an angle that speaks to your interests and knowledge. Second, using those questions to consider where to begin your research and find the evidence to build your argument. Once you’ve collected evidence, you can use an outline to organize the argument and make sure you’ve supported each claim with appropriate evidence.
While your writing process may change over time, the questioning-collecting-outlining approach is a great starting point for successful academic writing.
