What you’ll learn to do: calculate and understand hypergeometric probabilities
Sixteen people wish to be on a hiring committee. Ten of the people identify as men and six identify as women. The hiring committee will consist of four people. What is the probability that three of the four people that are randomly selected identify as men? To be able to answer this question, you need to understand the characteristics of a hypergeometric experiment and how to calculate hypergeometric probabilities.
