Think Like a Metaliterate Lifelong Learner:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Recognize that learning is a process and that reflecting on errors or mistakes leads to new insights and discoveries. (M)<\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\nWhy does metaliteracy play a role? Why isn\u2019t curiosity enough?\r\n\r\nThink back to the four learning domains important in metaliteracy:\r\n

  1. Affective--what you feel during and after learning<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Behavioral--what you can do after learning<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Cognitive--what you know after learning takes place<\/li>\r\n \t
  4. Metacognitive--your reflection on your own learning<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\nNext, consider the metaliterate learning roles you learned about in section 1. These include roles such as producer, researcher, creator, translator and teacher.\r\n\r\nFor a start, watch this short video<\/a> on the role of Translator--it will help you to understand these learner roles.\r\n\r\nIf you plan to take on one or more of these roles--and during a lifetime of learning, you will have plenty of time to do this--you have to prepare yourself. Curiosity is a great starting point, but these roles demand action of you after you have started your learning journey.
