Overview
In this module we will continue our study of Chemistry. This module will cover valence electrons, different types of bonds, and chemical reactions . We will also look at how energy is released or absorbed through those chemical reactions.
Module 10 Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Illustrate basic scientific concepts in areas such as chemistry.
- Classify the formula as either a covalent or ionic bond.
- Classify matter as element, compound or mixture.
Content
This module will take a look at different types of bonds and chemical reactions. We will look at the importance of where the element is located on the periodic table on how their electrons would like to bond. Lastly, energy changes that occur during those reactions are examined.
