Even just a little bit of review can help you place into a higher level of math or English.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How much time should I spend preparing for my Placement Test?\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>You should spend at least a few hours reviewing your math skills. There are many wonderful free, online resources that can help you. The math portion of the placement test evaluates your skills in algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. When you study using the resources below, keep those in mind. You also need to be able to perform functions like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division without the use of a calculator.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>What? I can\u2019t use a calculator?\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Since some questions are testing your ability to do arithmetic, you do not automatically get to use a calculator on the placement test. You will, however, see a little calculator icon pop up for selected questions. If the calculator appears, you get to use it! If the online calculator is missing, then you are not allowed a calculator for that question.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>We\u2019re talking a lot about math. Does that mean I don\u2019t need to prepare for the English placement test?\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Not at all. The best way to prepare for the English portion of the exam is to read, read, and read some more. This will familiarize your brain with the patterns and conventions of written English. There are also great resources (listed below) that can help you practice your reading comprehension and grammar skills.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>This seems like a lot of work.
