Reflective Learning
Building on Bloom’s taxonomy of educational learning objectives, Peter Pappas created the following model that charts reflective engagement:
*Notice the connectedness of these reflective acts: “Remembering,” “Understanding,” “Applying,” “Analyzing,” “Evaluating,” and eventually “Creating” are all part of an ongoing and recursive reflective process.
*Also, note how the questions associated with each reflective task are open-ended and personal. Like the reflective prompts provided by your instructors, these questions are designed to allow you to critically explore your own individual learning experiences.
