For this activity, you will complete four budgets – one Business budget, one Forecasts (projects) budget, one Home Budget, and one Customized Personal Budget.
Directions:
1. Review the module content related to Microsoft Excel 2010.
2. In Microsoft Excel, click on File, New, and Budgets.
3. Select one template out of each of the following categories:
- 1 template from Business Budgets
- 1 template from Forecasts (projects)
- 1 template from Home Budgets
4. Plan a budget from each of the categories for:
- your future business using the Business Budget template
- your future project(s) using the Forecasts template
- your future home expenses using the Home Budget template
5. Next, complete a customized personal budget based on your future income.
- To assist you with this, visit http://www.salary.com (Links to an external site.) and research your future salary based on your major and the area that you are planning to live in.
- Research the area where you would like to live after graduating from Wiley College.
- Be sure to consider the cost of housing, food, etc. in the area using, for example, a Google search related to the budget item and the area.
6. Save all four budgets:
- Business Budget using Excel Templates
- Forecasts (projects) Budget using Excel Templates
- Home Budget using Excel Templates
- Customized Personal Budget
7. Upload your budgets to the submission.
