If you learn some key strategies, you can be quite successful in taking tests.\u00a0There are many skills and strategies you can employ to help you be a better test taker:\r\n\r\nBrigham Young University (BYU) has a put together a set\u00a0of general guidelines\u00a0for test preparation, along with specific strategies\u00a0for doing well on different kinds of tests. <a href=\"http:\/\/cpms.byu.edu\/newsletters\/StudentNews\/2011\/04\/03\/weekly\/finals.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here to read their recommendations<\/a>.\r\n\r\nAnother list of strategies, widely used, is LAB B2OWL\u2014an acronym to help you remember critical aspects of successful test-taking strategies. For instance, let\u2019s say your exam has one essay question worth 50\u00a0percent, and 5 identifications worth 10 percent each. If you have two hours to take the test, this gives you one hour to complete the essay, and 10 minutes for each of the five short-answer questions.
