Individual Family Education Plan or Individual Education Plan?

“An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) spells out where a child is presently at developmentally, where that child should be after intervention, a plan for how to get there, when to expect to achieve the objectives of the plan, and how everybody involved will know that the objectives have been achieved” (Howard, Williams, Miller, and Aiken, 2014). Something similar happens when an IFSP is created for children 0-3.

Once a child has been determined to be eligible for services there is a need to make a plan for intervention services.
