Brent and I began collaborating when we were invited to join the Lumen Learning Kaleidoscope Project to build a Public Speaking course to be taught with Open Education Resources. We continue to expand our repository of open resources. Some of the content we created. Some of the content was created by others and we have simply compiled it. The intent is to help build a repository of public speaking instructor resources to help others make the move to OER. Of course, it is nice to save students money. However, we have noticed many other advantages. Students are more engaged and the savings supports retention.
