Course Materials

  1. This course will not use a traditional textbook.  As part of the Chancellor’s OER initiative, we will be relying solely on Open Educational Resources that have been compiled for you in Blackboard.  Make sure you check your reading and assignments regularly since these sources were chosen and specifically tailored to meet our Course Learning Outcomes.
  2. Scientific (non-graphing) calculator. A T1-30xIIS or similar can be purchased for ~$10. Graphing calculators will not be permitted on exams or quizzes.
  3. Reliable access to the internet.  Since reading, assignments and all other course materials are posted online, you must access the course several times per week.  If you do not have a computer or internet access at home, see me immediately.  The computer club and other resources are available if you need them.
