Assignment: Logic and Structure

  1. Look at how your selected reading is organized.  Which of the types of rhetorical modes addressed in this section appear in your reading selection?  Identify each by name, and indicate where in the text it is used.
  2. For each of the rhetorical modes you identified, write a paragraph analyzing the use of that rhetorical mode in this context.  Address why you felt the author chose to use that type of development in that section, and how it helped contribute to the overall effectiveness (or not) of the piece.
