They think critically, apply various strategies before, during, and after writing and reading, recognize when they don\u2019t understand, and know strategies for staying on track to academic success.\r\n\r\nIn addition, just as practice in sports, for example, improves an athlete's performance, so does practice in writing, reading, and learning. \u00a0In essence, the key to being a good writer, readers, and learner is to practice good writing, reading, and learning strategies.\r\n
