It follows directly after the title page and precedes the main body of the paper.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The abstract is a succinct, single-paragraph summary of your paper\u2019s purpose, main points, method, findings, and conclusions, and you usually compose it after the rest of your paper has been completed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">General Format<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h3 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>How should the abstract page be formatted?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The abstract\u2019s length should be a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 250 words; it should be confined within a single paragraph.
