Institute Objectives

  1. Identify ways that student educational experience data can be used to improve equitable holistic support practices.
  2. Analyze the faculty role in formal and informal advisement and in connecting and delivering support services to students.
  3. Design formal advisement systems that include learning outcomes for students & professional development experiences for faculty and student services professionals with a strategic focus on pathways.
  4. Encourage thoughtful and intentional technology adoption to support guided pathways reform. Complete parts of the Discovery Inventory to evaluate student supports, use of data, and technology adoption.
  5. Build collaborative inquiry about integrating equitable student supports into college culture and practice.
  6. Promote redesign of student supports, starting with the end in mind, where the ends are equitable access to careers and successful transfer.
  7. Continue building an engaged and equity-minded learning network among Pathways colleges.
