According to Gudmundsdottir\u00a0&amp; Shulman (1987), there are three main foci that form the foundation of teacher knowledge: Content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and curricular knowledge.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW145618430 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW145618430 BCX0\"><strong>Content knowledge<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW145618430 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW145618430 BCX0\">Teachers need to understand the truth claims of the discipline and interpretive community (professional organization) as well be able to explain why these accepted truth claims are warranted.
