This project is part of a larger enterprise by The New York Times Magazine and Nikole Hannah-Jones.  It includes plenty of essays and curricula for instructors.  The project has strengths and flaws, as any large undertaking would.  We will look both at its organization and the ways that it has been attacked by contemporary critics.
