Thinking of yourselves, when have you felt you were in a position that the following words applied to you and/or you applied it to others? (Oppression, Racism, stigma, stereotype, label, and disability).

Here are some examples:

I bartended from the time I was 18 until 21.  I started college around the age of 22. Twenty years later I saw a man that would frequent the bar.  He recognized me and asked what type of job I had.  I stated that I was a college professor.  He responded with, “You can’t be.”  I replied, “Why not?”  He said, “Because you were a bartender.”
