Ethics and legal issues in teaching are diverse. Established as schooling evolved, often based on outdated moral beliefs, the ethics that established and those which are defined by local, community morals present a precarious landscape for new teachers to navigate. In this section we will review the difference between a legal and ethical teaching responsibility, as well as provide suggestions for common situations which arise in today’s classrooms.
