Recent changes at popular writing labs such as Purdue OWL (pop ups, ads, lack of accurate examples) mean that it can be difficult to get good models for writing, grammar, usage, critical thinking, or research.  The Excelsior OWL site is a preferred site at Jefferson.  While it is not perfect (as the paraphrase section reflects), this is an excellent resource which includes critical reading resources, too!
