These formats are called styles of documentation.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Two types of documentation styles are MLA, which is the Modern\u00a0Language Association, and APA, which is the American Psychological Association.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Technical writers use the APA style of documentation.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>The APA style of documentation requires that the entire paper is doubled spaced.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>The APA style of documentation requires that the page with references is titled\u00a0as \"References,\" not \"Works Cited.\"<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;\">Referencing in-text citations<\/span><\/b>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Parenthetical documentation for APA requires the author and the date\u00a0for all information cited. Every sentence in the research section needs a reference to its source, followed by it date of publication.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>If a direct quotation is cited, APA in-text citation\/parenthetical\u00a0documentation requires the author, the date, and page number or paragraph\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: 'Arial', 'sans-serif'; color: black;\">number must be cited.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: black;\">Paragraph numbers are cited for internet sources. The\u00a0<\/span>exception to this rule is citing pdf documents. Page numbers are referenced for sources published as pdf files.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>When referencing a page number, the number must be identified as a page,\u00a0for one page (p. 24) or as pp. for multiple pages.
