color: #000000;\">Directions for Debate Activity:<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Organize students in groups of 3; assign each student in the group a letter (A, B or C)<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A=Judge<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">B debates for the topic<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">C debates against the topic<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>T<span style=\"color: #000000;\">he judge selects a topic.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Debaters prepare for 2 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">B presents (2 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">C presents (2 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">B rebutts (1 minute)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">C rebutts (1 minute)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Judge asks questions (3 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Judge decides which side presented a stronger argument.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Repeat procedure;
