Form<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Composition<\/strong>\u00a0refers to the visual aspects (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis.html\">Elements of Art<\/a>) of a work of art including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis.html#line\">line<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis.html#shape_and_form\">shape and form<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis.html#color\">color<\/a>, texture, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis.html#space\">spatial qualities<\/a>\u00a0 and the way that they are organized in the work of art using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/education\/teachers\/building_lessons\/formal_analysis2.html\">Principles of Design<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Style_(visual_arts)\"><strong>Style<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is the word used to describe the manipulation of those same visual elements line, shape, color, texture, spatial qualities etc. to create characteristic forms that can be recognized as belonging to a particular person, group or culture.\u00a0Regional, cultural, historical, individual, and group (school) styles are the most commonly discussed.
