You will share information about pets with your classmates and you will engage in asking and answering follow up questions.\n\n<strong>Task<\/strong>: This activity has three parts:\n<ol>\n \t<li>An initial response to the prompt<\/li>\n \t<li>A follow up interaction with two classmates<\/li>\n \t<li>A final remark to your peers who commented on your initial response<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<strong>Part 1.<\/strong> Read and respond to the following prompt in Spanish. Post your response to the discussion board.\n<ul>\n \t<li>\u00bfTienes mascotas?<\/li>\n \t<li>Si (<em>if<\/em>) tu respuesta es s\u00ed: \u00bfC\u00f3mo se llama(n)? \u00bfCu\u00e1ntas mascotas tienes? \u00bfQu\u00e9 tipo de animales son?<\/li>\n \t<li>Si tu respuesta es no: \u00bfDeseas tener una mascota? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 s\u00ed o por qu\u00e9 no?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>Part 2.<\/strong> You will read the responses of two classmates and post a follow up comment and question in Spanish to these two classmates. Be creative and authentic! If you need some help perpetuating the conversation, there are some ideas listed below.\n\n<strong>Part 3.<\/strong> Just as you have read and responded to two of your peers, some of your peers have read and responded to you. Finish up the conversations by responding to each peer who commented on your original post. Answer their questions, and politely thank them for their time and sign off. If you need some help wrapping up the conversation, there are some ideas listed below.\n\n<strong>Criteria:<\/strong> The components of this activity add up to 100%.\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Part 1. 30% will be earned for posting your initial response in Spanish to the discussion board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Part 2. 40% will be earned for interacting with two peers on their initial posts: you are to comment and question on the posts of two peers, so each comment\/question is worth 20%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Part 3. 30% will be earned for responding to your peers on your original post: you are to answer two follow up questions that your peers asked about your original post and politely thank them and sign off (15 % each) .<\/p>\nIn the following example, Erica posts her response to the prompt.
