You may notice that descriptions of the weather in Spanish are often formed quite differently from those in English or other languages you may know. The weather <strong>is<\/strong> good), many weather phrases in Spanish use the verb <span lang=\"es\"><em>hacer:<\/em><\/span>\u00a0\"to do\" or \"to make\" (<span lang=\"es\"><strong>Hace<\/strong> calor.\u00a0<strong>Hace<\/strong> buen tiempo<\/span>). Note also that when the weather \"is\" in Spanish, the verb\u00a0<span lang=\"es\"><em>estar<\/em><\/span> is used, rather than the verb <span lang=\"es\"><em>ser\u00a0<\/em>: <strong>Est\u00e1<\/strong> nublado. <strong>Est\u00e1<\/strong>\u00a0soleado<\/span> (We'll learn why\u00a0in future chapters).
