What you’ll learn to do: describe common organizational structures and their advantages and disadvantages
Three primary variables interact to explain much of an organization’s structure: size, age, and industry. Organizations will typically start the structure process by clarifying what it will take to do the work, meet goals, grow sales, etc. And you will see great consistencies in the structure that develops across organizations in many different industries.
