The other method\u2014second messengers\u2014can be seen in Ca<sup>2+<\/sup> signaling in muscle cells, which\u00a0leads to muscle contractions.\r\n\r\nThese are just two examples of the many, many body functions that rely on cell communication. As we discussed in opening this module, imagine again what would happen if we could not communicate in society.
