Interpret the model in context.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\nNow we apply what we have learned about exponential decay to find a model for a set of data. We can see in the data that the amount of light transmitted through water decreases with depth. There is less light at greater depths.\r\n\r\nHere are the data graphed in the scatterplot in the simulation. Notice that the light intensity has a fairly strong negative exponential form.
