For the most part, you will answer in the plural form<span class=\"foreign\">son<\/span>. For example, to say it\u2019s four o\u2019clock, you would use <span class=\"foreign\">son<\/span>. However, if it is one o\u2019clock, or 1:15 or 1:30, you are going to use the singular form<span class=\"foreign\">es<\/span>: <span class=\"foreign\">Es la una y cuarto<\/span>. You also use the singular form with special expressions for midnight and noon: <span class=\"foreign\">Es mediod\u00eda<\/span> or <span class=\"foreign\">Es medianoche<\/span>.\r\n\r\nIn order to ask what time something is at or occurs, you will use the question <span class=\"foreign\">\u00bfA qu\u00e9 hora es...?<\/span> or <span class=\"foreign\">\u00bfA qu\u00e9 hora son...?<\/span> In this case, whether you will use the singular or plural verb form depends on what you are talking about.
