Preparing the course in MyOpenMath<\/h3>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goal:<\/span> Set up the course in MyOpenMath so that it can be linked to Blackboard via LTI.\n\n\u00a0\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From Course Settings in the course in MyOpenMath, make sure the following are selected:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\u00a0\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Available to students<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Show on Instructor\u2019s home page<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Require enrollment key from everyone, and leave the enrollment key box blank. \u00a0This will allow Blackboard to send students to the correct course.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Message System\u00a0- there is a setting that allows students to message you from a HW question, but you have to check your messages in MyOpenMath, this is a personal preference.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your institution does not use a system-wide key and secret, you can set up your course secret here. Establishing your identity in MyOpenMath through Blackboard<\/h3>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goal:<\/span> Allow MyOpenMath to associate you with the correct course when you access it through Blackboard.\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navigate to one of your LTI links that will return a grade to Blackboard and click on it.<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will see a window that says \u201cLaunch LTI link\u201d<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go ahead and \u00a0click \u201cLaunch\u201d<\/li>\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will see a MyOpenMath login prompt: enter your MyOpenMath credentials<\/li>\n<\/ul><a href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/courses-images-archive-read-only\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/343\/2016\/01\/20192854\/Screen-Shot-2016-01-08-at-10.55.46-AM.png\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-677\" src=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/courses-images\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/91\/2016\/03\/10213532\/Screen-Shot-2016-01-08-at-10.55.46-AM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-01-08 at 10.55.46 AM\" width=\"288\" height=\"142\"\/><\/a>\n<ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will then be asked to choose whether MyOpenMath makes a new copy of the course you have linked to Blackboard, or if you want to use the existing one. Setting up the \u201cLocal\u201d Key and Secret<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goal:<\/span> If your institution does not have a global key and secret set up for MyOpenMath, you will now need to go into one of the items imported from MyOpenMath and establish the connection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>if you teach at one of the following schools\/ systems you don&#8217;t need to read this section, skip to the next step.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>VCCS<\/li>\n<li>FMU<\/li>\n<li>Santa Ana CC<\/li>\n<li>Any Idaho 2 or 4 Year School<\/li>\n<li>Mercy College<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Manage LTI Links in your course menu.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will see a list of all the links in your course. Establishing your identity in MyOpenMath through Blackboard<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goal:<\/span> Allow MyOpenMath to associate you with the correct course when you access it through Blackboard.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navigate to one of your LTI links that will return a grade to Blackboard and click on it.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will see a window that says \u201cLaunch LTI link\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go ahead and \u00a0click \u201cLaunch\u201d<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will see a MyOpenMath login prompt: enter your MyOpenMath credentials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/courses-images-archive-read-only\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/343\/2016\/01\/20192854\/Screen-Shot-2016-01-08-at-10.55.46-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-677\" src=\"https:\/\/s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com\/courses-images\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/91\/2016\/03\/10213532\/Screen-Shot-2016-01-08-at-10.55.46-AM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-01-08 at 10.55.46 AM\" width=\"288\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will then be asked to choose whether MyOpenMath makes a new copy of the course you have linked to Blackboard, or if you want to use the existing one.
