Every year, a company called Ethisphere provides\u00a0a thorough review of businesses\u00a0seeking to gain recognition for being upstanding corporate citizens. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldsmostethicalcompanies.com\/honorees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See the full list of the World's Most Ethical Companies honorees.<\/a>)\r\n\r\nThe review process captures company performance in five areas, but in order to be honored,\u00a0the companies must demonstrate that they are addressing ethics and social responsibility holistically. The five factors, which are nicely aligned with the topics of this module, are described below, each with a brief description\u00a0of how the companies show\u00a0compliance.\r\n<h3>Ethics and Compliance Program<\/h3>\r\nWe discussed this topic in our focus on\u00a0company policy, along with the important role of executive leadership in supporting and following the policy.
