The seven principles are summarized in this list:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Objective<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of Audience Knowledge<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Relevant<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Clear<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Concise<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Consistent<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Complete<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIf you adhere to these principles, you have a far better chance of being understood by your audience.\r\n\r\nWe\u2019ve also learned about the social communication model. Through that, we learned that you create the message in your head and \u201cencode it\u201d into a message that can be understood, and then your audience \u201cdecodes\u201d it to receive the message. In that process, there can be disruptive \u201cnoise\u201d that distorts your message, but your audience can provide \u201cfeedback\u201d that allows you additional chances to be understood.\r\n\r\nWe learned that there are types of communication\u2014written, yes, but also spoken. And with spoken communication, verbal, listening and non-verbal communication are all taking place at the same time.
