Matrix Organizational Structure: Alternative Text

Example of a matrix organizational structure. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors. The Manufacturing, Finance, and Human Resources heads report to the CEO. There are four manufacturing units that report to the manufacturing department head, four finance units that report to the finance department head, and four human resources units that report to the human resources department head. Each of these units also report to their respective Project Managers (Project Managers A, B, C and D.) Another way to understand this is that each Project Manager has three direct reports: a Manufacturing Unit, a Finance Unit, and Human Resources Unit.
