It\u2019s his mother\u2019s birthday on Saturday. He\u2019s feeling bad because he hasn\u2019t been able to save up enough money to get her the present he\u2019d like to give her. Then, on the sidewalk, he finds a wallet with $10 in it \u2014 just what he needs to buy the present! But there\u2019s an identification card in the wallet telling the name and address of the owner.<\/blockquote>\r\n1. What should Kel do? Why?\r\n2. What would be a good reason for Kel to return the wallet? Can you think of any other reasons?\r\n3. Would it be stealing to keep the money? Why is it wrong to steal?\r\n4. What if the owner of the wallet were rich and greedy and wouldn\u2019t even give Kel a reward for returning it \u2014 should he return the wallet then?\r\n\r\n<strong>STEP 2<\/strong>: Interview someone above the age of sixteen. The security officer told the storeowner he had seen the two girls together and was sure the one who left had been shoplifting. The storeowner said to Kay, \u201cCome on now, come clean. You could get into serious trouble if you don\u2019t give us your friend\u2019s name.\u201d<\/blockquote>\r\n1. Should Kay tell Deandra\u2019s name to the security officer? Why?\r\n2. Would it make any difference if Deandra had recently done a big favor for Kay?\r\n3. Would it make a difference if they were not good friends?\r\n4.
